Save the Queen

Save the Queen is one of my favourite designers! Created in 1999 in Florence, their collection is very much inspired by different cultures, races and historical eras. Their designs are original works of art, based on two specific elements: the importance of the human relations and the recovery of traditions and techniques of the Italian hand craft. The fashion of Elena Fantini, co. founder of Save the Queen, boasts an artistic philosophy and could not exist if not intimately likened to painting. The Guildhall in Portsmouth seemed the most appropriate location to feature my Save the Queen coat. For me, art and architecture are one of the same and can complement each other in the most fantastic ways.

Autumn Days

Autumn is well on its way and I think we have all seen enough rain over the last week to last a while. Yesterday we were lucky enough to have some beautiful sunshine for my first shoot with photographer Claudia Bridge-Parkin, who I am very excited to be working with on my blog. We chose Old Portsmouth for our first shoot with the sea wall being the perfect setting for this Autumn Days post. The Autumn Winter 2012 runway showed that trench coats and ankle boots are going to be a must have of the season with some of my favorite pieces designed by Burberry for their Prorsum collection. On the high street LK Bennett have a number of beautiful trench coats along with Topshop being the place for ankle boots with their huge range to choose from. Anything with studs on and I'm sold!
